Go Anywhere Shawl
Easy! Great for beginning knitters and fun for experts too!
You'll need:
- One skein of Schaefer 'Nancy', 600 yards.
- 14" straight needles or 29" circulars, size #10-1/2 to 13. Larger needles will make a lighter, lacier shawl.
- A size J crochet hook.
- A yarn needle
Make the shawl:
- Cast on three stitches.
- Knit the first two rows.
- Knit three stitches, then one yarn-over. Knit to the end of that row.
- Repeat step 3 until you have about 75 yards of yarn left, which you will save for the optional fringe.
- Bind off very loosely. If you bind off too tightly, the neckline will pull at your neck. A nice loose bind-off will allow you to fold the edge over and drape the shawl nicely.
- Weave the ends in.
